How To Make Lavender Lotion Bars In The Crockpot

I made these lotion bars recently and this is actually the easiest thing to make. You can use almost any essential oil to scent it but I used lavender because I found it seems to be a universal scent that anyone likes. I would stay away from any citrus oils because of the problem with being out in the sun after applying it on your skin. It can cause a burn or rash on your skin. Anyway, this recipe calls for shea butter, coconut oil, cocoa butter and beeswax. All of the ingredients can be found on Amazon, that is where I bought all mine from. I also purchased the smallest crockpot they offer to heat up everything.

1 Cup of SHEA BUTTER
1 Cup of coconut Oil
1 Cup of beeswax pellets
1 Cup of Cocoa butter
12 to 15 drops of lavender oil
Soap molds of your choice

Throw everything into the crockpot except for the essential oil and let it heat on low till everything is melted. When its melted wait a few minutes till it cools off a little to put the lavender oil in it so you donโ€™t burn off the scent right away. Pour the liquid into the molds and put them in the fridge overnight.

After they are harden you can pop them out of the molds and use it. Keep them in a cool place so they donโ€™t melt. If you make them let us know if you tried any other essential oils.
