why omega 3 is important

Everyone knows that Omega-3 is good for you but do you know why? For the last 5 years I have been taking Wild Salmon oil. Within 2 weeks of taking it, I noticed my skin cleared up and was looking better than ever. I even had men ask me what I used on my skin. I think it’s a little abnormal for men to ask so that is when I knew it was the salmon oil and not the same cream I have been using for years. I also do notice a difference when I don’t take it for a period of time. Well, I knew the Salmon oil was healthy but I read about what else it can help besides my skin and hair. I read that infants who do not get enough omega-3 fatty acids from their mothers during pregnancy are at risk for developing vision and nerve problems. Symptoms of omega-3 fatty acid deficiency include fatigue, poor memory, dry skin, heart problems, mood swings or depression, and poor circulation. I try to force omega acids on my kids in the form of Flaxseed oil. That is no small feat. I usually have to offer my son something from the store to take it everyday for a week. I do notice a difference in him when he is consistently on it. He is A.D.D and dyslexic so anything that will help I will try it. I get my salmon oil from Vitalchoice.com. You can visit their site to read up on their brand compared to others (there is a link on my page, just click their ad.) I read that it can help asthma, mood problems, inflammation and heart disease. The best way to get it is through your food. The American Heart Association recommends eating fish (particularly fatty fish such as mackerel, lake trout, herring, sardines, albacore tuna, and salmon) at least 2 times a week.
