Making your own yogurt is very easy and inexpensive. You know what your putting in it and you can use organic milk to make it. Below is also a recipe for Cacik, it is a Turkish yogurt that is used for dipping in food from vegetables to chicken. To make the basic yogurt you can get a inexpensivethat also heats or just use a glass jar.
1.) Boil 4 cups of organic milk and then let is cool
2.) You can add a container of plain organic yogurt or you can also purchase the in a packet. If you are using a store bought yogurt make sure you choose one that says “active cultures” on the container.

4.) pour into a glass or ceramic container and keep warm around 110 degrees. You can put in a very low oven or on a radiator for 7 hours to overnight. The mixture will thicken and become yogurt. refrigerate after You can keep in plain or add cinnamon, honey, vanilla, fruit, jelly, or any thing you want to naturally sweeten it. If adding honey, add it last, after it was already refrigerated.
Tip: You can also add a serving of a probiotic to the yogurt for a stronger probiotic yogurt (after refrigeration) I use the brandbecause it’s good for adults and children but it’s your choice. Your usual brand is good too. Its cheaper than those $5 a shot probiotic yogurt drinks

2 cucumbers, peeled and grated
16 oz. cold, plain yogurt
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon fresh mint
In a mixing bowl, combine cucumbers and garlic. Add salt to taste.
Mix in yogurt with wooden spoon. Transfer to serving bowl. Garnish with mint and drizzle olive oil on top. Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate.
